🎃👻 Things are getting a little spooky in this week's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program!
Students will be trying two Halloween-inspired fruits this week!

🔴 Rambutan, aka "Hairy Scary Fruit": A tropical fruit with a fuzzy red exterior and sweet, white flesh inside. Despite its spooky appearance, its flavor is sometimes compared to cotton candy!

🟠 Fuyu Persimmons: These little fruits look like miniature pumpkins! They're crisp like apples, with a sweet flavor and hints of honey.

Both fruits offer students a chance to try something new while learning about healthy foods from around the world.

⚠️ A reminder for rambutan: Only the white flesh is edible. The outer peel and inner seed should be discarded. https://provo.edu/a-spooky-twist-on-this-weeks-fresh-fruit-and-vegetable-program/

Little hands, BIG creativity!

Our kindergarten artists got hands-on in art class, using playdough to create all kinds of lines! From wavy and zigzag lines to dots, spirals, and more, our young artists explored shapes, patterns, and creativity while strengthening those fine motor skills.

We love seeing our Franklin Falcons learn through creativity and play!
