West Park Fire Department Receives $1,600 Grant from Black Hills Energy for Wildland Nozzles

Pueblo CO — The West Park Fire Department (WPFD) is proud to announce it has been awarded a $1,600 grant from Black Hills Energy to support the purchase of new wildland fire nozzles. This funding enhances WPFD’s operational readiness and strengthens the department’s ability to respond effectively to wildland fires throughout the community.

The new nozzles will improve water flow control, increase firefighter safety, and support WPFD’s ongoing efforts to modernize its wildland firefighting equipment.

“We appreciate Black Hills Energy’s continued support of local first responders,” said Fire Chief John Federico. “This grant directly improves our capability to protect the residents and property of West Park, especially during peak wildland fire season.”

WPFD extends its gratitude to Black Hills Energy for their commitment to community safety and partnership with local emergency services.
