Ballots are on their way to your mail box starting today! I'm standing strong with my support of Michael Bennet for Governor of Colorado.

I understand that right now in Pueblo, and in communities like it across Southern Colorado, families are struggling more now than ever before. Housing costs continue to climb, health care premiums are swallowing more of everyone’s paycheck, and utility and grocery bills are not decreasing anytime soon. These are real challenges that require real policy solutions. Coloradans need and deserve a Governor who will spend four years working on these challenges, not one who will spend four years studying them. A Governor who’s ready to govern on day one, because he has experience doing just that.

Last night I was surprised to be recognizable and honored by my friends and fellow members of USW in Pueblo. Both Senator Michael Bennet and I were awarded the inaugural Albert Becco Jr. Award.

Sen. Bennet was recognized for his role in the recent $1 Billion agreement between Union Pacific Railroad and Rocky Mountain Steel.

I was recognized for my role, during my time as State Representative, in securing the state tax credits that helped to make the new long rail mill possible here in Pueblo, which will produce the rail for the agreement mentioned above.

Ten years later and folks are still talking about the value of the rain barrel bill I passed with Jessie Danielson.

Post your pics of your rain barrel filling up with this much needed moisture!

A 2016 law allows two 55-gallon barrels of rain water to be collected from downspouts. But what about snow?

I’m proud to be a part of the CTC committee, where folks continue to come together to figure out the childcare issues in Pueblo. Take a listen!

Students and Pueblo community members have free access to an innovative new search tool that allows them to easily find child care providers and programs in their neighborhood. Providers in the community have updated their profiles to include useful information such as current availability. This t...

Nine years ago today, as a State Representative, I helped to create the Front Range Passenger Rail Commission. Today I’m proud to serve on the board, as we are finally ready to make rail travel possible from Pueblo to Denver. Let’s go CoCo!

Today, the House passed SB17-153, which continues and expands the Southwest Chief Commission to explore Front Range passenger rail. Check out why I am so excited to send this bill to the governor: https://youtu.be/42BlGcWSeFw?t=7655

This has been and continues to be an issue for Pueblo families, and our ability to build a better community for all.

Data shows a severe shortage of care across Pueblo County, but behind the numbers are families navigating waitlists, instability, and a system that rarely
