D70/HSB Business Academy students had a great time participating in CSU Pueblo Outdoor Pursuits! It was exciting to watch these students work together, encourage one another, and overcome challenges throughout the course. They stepped outside of their comfort zones while tackling the high ropes course, demonstrating teamwork, perseverance, and confidence. Experiences like these help build valuable leadership and communication skills that will benefit them in the classroom and beyond. Great job, students!

It was an exciting week of CTE learning at the 2026 D70/HSB Business Academy! Eighth-grade students from Pleasant View, Vineland, and SkyView had the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship under the guidance of Dr. Michael Wakefield and Mrs. Kay Wakefield. Throughout the week, students developed business ideas, strengthened their leadership and teamwork skills, and gained valuable insight into what it takes to start and run a successful business.
Students also enjoyed several hands-on experiences, including participation in the CSU Pueblo Outdoor Pursuits program, a visit to TRtoppers, and the opportunity to experience campus life by dining at the CSU Pueblo cafeteria. It was a fantastic week filled with learning, collaboration, and fun as students explored future career pathways and developed skills that will benefit them for years to come.
