Reading Community Library The Reading Community Library serves Reading, Reading Township and Cambria Township. Community Service is Our Priority!

We are members of Mel.org which means that if we don’t have a book on our shelves that you want we can borrow it from another library. This is just one of the many free services that we provide. Did you know that we have a book club, an ancestry club, provide free access to Consumer Report on line, rent newly released DVD titles for a nominal fee, have computers for public access and so much more. The library is your community resource-enjoy it.

It is with such sadness that the world learns about Dolly Parton’s passing.
Dolly Parton was a vocal advocate for literacy and supporting libraries. Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she created something special to improve childhood literacy at home. Dolly created this incredible program in honor of her father, who was unable to read. Each month, one million free books are delivered to children due to her, and the team at DPIL. Today, the world has lost a wonderful woman.

Let’s take a look back at some fun shenanigans from this years Summer Reading! We had lots of fun at the Pavilion, or in the library reading and making crafts! 🎨🎭
We had 29 events this summer and 135 of you signed up for Summer Reading! 😆
Even more amazing, this year we added a brand new baby class, which ended up being our group with the highest percentage of participation! 👶🏼
We wish our young patrons luck as they head back to school next week! Keep coming by to see us! Until next Summer………🔎🐈‍⬛🫆

August is here! Can you believe it!? Our Summer Reading Program has officially ended, stay tuned for a look back at some of our events later today. But, just because Summer Reading is over doesn't mean we don't have more activities in store for you! 😆

We are now entering into our regular hours, so please keep this in mind as you plan to visit us! This week we do not have any activities to give our staff a break, but we will be back to activities next week on the 10th! 🖌☀🍡
