Reading Community Library The Reading Community Library serves Reading, Reading Township and Cambria Township. Community Service is Our Priority!

We are members of Mel.org which means that if we don’t have a book on our shelves that you want we can borrow it from another library. This is just one of the many free services that we provide. Did you know that we have a book club, an ancestry club, provide free access to Consumer Report on line, rent newly released DVD titles for a nominal fee, have computers for public access and so much more. The library is your community resource-enjoy it.

Reading Community Schools is having their Summer Lunch Program again this year! The first date is June 9th, that’s next week! Food distribution begins at 11am and ends at 1pm. As you grab your meal bags, don’t forget to thank the wonderful school staff who give their time and energy to provide to our community in such an amazing way! 💛❤️

Visit the URL linked below, on our homepage, or on our website to view our new online catalog! View all the materials we possess from home, place reserves on items for pickup, and renew your own items! Leave reviews on books you have read and create booklists that we can approve for public viewing!

If you don't want to worry about logging in every time, download our app Librista! Librista functions just like the webpage catalog, but saves your login information. It is available on IOS and Google/Android.

You can view our online catalog without a library card, but will need one to sign into an account! Login information below:
Username: Your library card number
Password: The last 4 digits of your library card

If this doesn't work for you, your card may be expired, so give us a call or stop in so we can solve the problem together! Please remember that this is all new to our staff as well, so please be kind as they learn too!

We want to give a big thank you to Maynard Family McDonald's for sponsoring our Summer Reading Program again this year. Maynard Family McDonald's has funded our summer programs for many years now, and we always appreciate their generosity.

This year Maynard Family McDonald's has donated 300 McDonald's food coupons! There is also another special prize that our kiddos love to see every year. Come in to the library to take a peak at it today. Facebook: stay tuned for some photos!

Happy June! And a happy last day of school for Reading Community Schools! We have one more afterschool craft today before our staff takes a small break from activities to finish up Summer Reading plans! Summer Reading sign-ups are still going strong, come join the fun if you haven't already! 🦖🦕
