The children in Bhavini's program call her Nini.

One day, a child picked a rose from her garden and brought it to her. "Nini, this is for you."

Bhavini said: "That's the most loved person in a parent's life, and they are leaving that child with someone else. That's trust, right?"

Child care is built on trust. So is community. So is advocacy.

This week, we partnered with Global Early Learning to help them host a site visit with Senator Vandana Slatter. They had a meaningful conversation about early childhood education, the families they serve, and the importance of investing in their youngest learners.

Site visits are important for child care organizations because they allow them to provide information and give legislators an inside look at their programs. This helps legislators see the impact of early learning and why its important they contribute to making actionable change.

For Bhavini, her home is also her workplace, her classroom, and the place where she cares for 10 children every day.

It's also where she invited a policymaker to see what Family Child Care really looks like.

Meet Bhavini.

⭐She cares for 10 children in her home.
⭐She teaches. She cooks. She manages a business.
⭐And she advocates for the future of early learning.

Over the next few months, we're sharing Bhavini's story and exploring what can happen when people doing the work have opportunities to shape the systems around them.

Every voice creates a ripple.
