POV: You asked to see our engineers' camera roll. ๐Ÿ“ธ

It's filled with flood control channels, culverts, detention basins, construction progress, inspections, and plenty of concrete.

But it's also filled with community flood safety events, educational outreach, and collaboration with local partnersโ€”all working toward one goal: helping reduce flood risk and protect our communities.

Every photo tells the story of engineering, teamwork, and public service in action. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ

Last Tuesday, the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District joined the fun at Inland Empire Kids Outdoors' 2026 River Camp! ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

Employees from the District's Watershed Protection Division (WPD) engaged more than 50 campers with interactive presentations about protecting the Santa Ana Watershed. Using a hands-on watershed diorama, the team demonstrated how pollutants travel through our waterways and shared simple, everyday actions everyone can take to help keep our rivers and streams clean.

Thank you to Inland Empire Kids Outdoors for the opportunity to inspire the next generation of watershed stewards! ๐Ÿ’™
