Ruidoso High School aims to enable all individuals to discover and fulfill their highest potential. It provides outstanding academic and extracurricular programs for students in grades nine through twelve. Students have opportunities in a variety of academic and vocational subjects and are challenged to maximize their talents through remedial, general, honors, and Advanced Placement courses. Stude

nt scores on national standardized assessments indicate that Ruidoso High School prepares students with the appropriate educational skills to become productive and competitive individuals after high school graduation. Recent graduating classes have received over one million dollars in college scholarships, and more than eighty percent of graduates enter post-secondary education. Ruidoso High School also excels in myriad extra-curricular activities - sports and academic competitions. Students are also actively engaged in various community services. Every student of different talents has a group to join and participate in within and outside the school. It is also the pride of the community that Ruidoso High School has one of the most beautiful natural settings and one of the finest physical plants of any high school in the region.

Students in the Auto Mechanics II and Welding I programs at Ruidoso High School spent the school year bringing classroom learning to life through a collaborative truck restoration project led by Mario Montes.

From welding and fabrication to learning about engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical systems, and maintenance, students gained valuable real-world experience while transforming a donated truck through teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving.

Mr. Montes encouraged students to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and grow both professionally and personally throughout the process. Great work by all students involved in this incredible hands-on project!
