The Mayor's Office for New Americans is proud to partner with interagency, community, business and non-profit organizations to provide innovative and needed programs and services for disadvantaged populations in Salt Lake County. Salt Lake County acts on opportunities to create and improve programs and services for refugees through partnership and collaborations with community stakeholders.

This Citizenship Day, Salt Lake County celebrates our New Americans and the rights that come with this milestone: the power to vote, the freedom to run for office, and full protection under the law as a citizen of this country. For them, this is a moment years in the making, built on patience, hard work, and hope.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Utah Chapter is hosting Citizenship Day on Saturday, September 19, with free legal assistance for citizenship applications and free study materials to help you prepare for the citizenship test.
