Some kids ask for the keys to the car. Theirs asked to run the sirens.

This Father’s Day, three Bexar County families — the Pollards, Martinezes, and Easters — share how a father’s badge became a child’s calling, generation after generation. From a father and daughter riding as partners for one unforgettable night, to a go-kart outfitted with the sheriff’s emblem and a working siren, these are the moments only this job can give.

Happy Father’s Day to the deputies who serve, and the dads who raised them. 💙
