Today, the North East ISD Council of PTAs recognizes Native American Day by honoring the rich and diverse histories, cultures, traditions, languages, and contributions of Native American and Indigenous peoples.

May today be an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate with respect—while recognizing that Native communities are living, thriving communities whose cultures and contributions continue to enrich our nation today.

We encourage our families and school communities to seek out Native voices, learn about the Indigenous peoples connected to the lands where we live, and continue building a future rooted in respect, understanding, and community.
