Aid the Silent To glorify God by empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens through access to communication, education, resources, and community.

Aid the Silent was created to help thousands around the world find information about living in today’s society as a deaf or hard-of-hearing individual, to learn about Jesus’ word and to inspire people to embrace their differences. Aid the Silent is dedicated to equip deaf children/teens with the necessary tools and resources to help them find personal success. Through commitment and prayer, Aid the Silent dedicates its efforts to providing a platform to raise funds for deaf ministry, deaf research, deaf education and deaf resources. Deaf Ministry: Through our sponsorships deaf children/teens will have the opportunities to attend Christian camps and events. Deaf Research: Funds collected will support organizations that dedicate its efforts to finding treatments and technological advancement that benefit the deaf. Deaf Education: Monies accumulated will support the deaf community through educational institutions and programs by providing funding to train deaf educators. Deaf Resources: Through community donations, Aid the Silent will be able to provide the deaf and hard-of-hearing with equipment and services. We raise the necessary funds to provide HOH/deaf children/teens the tools and resources to help them find personal success. Whether that be through resources such as FM systems or hearing aids, through resources such as speech therapy or learning ASL, or through learning about Jesus through Deaf Young Life meetings and camps. We provide six areas of resources:
1.Hearing Aids
2.FM Systems
3.ASL Lessons (family or individual)
4.Speech Therapy
5.Send HOH/deaf children & teens to faith-based summer camps
6.Deaf Young Life: nondenominational Christian ministry that reaches out into the lives of teenagers to present the Gospel. Deaf Young Life is geared to HOH /deaf teenagers, run by a h HOH /deaf leader with HOH /deaf volunteers as well as volunteers who have a heart for HOH /deaf community. Deaf Young Life events are fully HOH /deaf accessible with captioning & interpreting thus creating a place of unity for the entire community.

Behind every hearing aid fitting, every family served, every event, every story shared, and every child encouraged are the silent heroes who make it all happen.

Our team has grown and changed quite a bit, and we’re so excited for you to get to know the people behind Aid the Silent!

Heather — our primary Caseworker, walking alongside our families and helping them navigate their hearing journeys.

Shannon — our new Bookkeeper, helping keep everything behind the scenes organized and moving forward.

Nicolet — our Outreach Coordinator, building relationships and connecting our mission with the community.

Jacob — our Storyteller & Facilities guy, capturing the moments that matter while helping care for the place we call home.

Dr. Hilary — our Audiologist, providing compassionate hearing care and helping our kids access the technology they need.

Emma Faye— our CEO & Founder, leading the vision and continuing to dream about what’s possible for Deaf and hard-of-hearing kids.

Meet Steve! 💙 Today marks the beginning of his hearing journey with Aid the Silent!

Every hearing journey starts with understanding what a child can hear. During his hearing test, Steve listened for tiny beeps—some high, some low, some loud, and some barely there. Each time he heard one, he pressed a button. This helps us find the softest sounds he can hear at different pitches.

He also listened to and repeated words, helping us understand not just whether he can hear sound, but how clearly he can understand speech.

Think of this first test as a roadmap for his hearing journey. It helps our team understand what Steve needs and guides us toward the right hearing technology and support.

💙 Today, Tadeo heard through his hearing aids for the very first time — and one of the first things he heard was the voices of Mom and Dad. 🥹

Whenever we turn on a child’s hearing aids for the first time, we love to have Mom and Dad be the first ones to speak.

For Tadeo, that moment was overwhelming in the sweetest way. He was overcome with emotion and so happy as he listened to the voices of the people he loves most. 💙

These are the moments we will never get tired of witnessing.

Meet Ariel! After receiving her hearing aids, Ariel’s excitement and joy said it all! 🩷 She is so happy with her new hearing technology and can’t wait to connect her hearing aids to her phone.

Sponsoring a child’s hearing journey can change their world. ❤️

April Ancira Thompson was one of the first to sponsor a child through Aid the Silent’s new campaign, helping Summer and Brodie access the hearing care, technology, and support they need to thrive.

Now, Ancira Auto Group is helping even more children this September. For every new or used vehicle sold this month, Ancira Auto Group will donate $50 to Aid the Silent to help provide hearing technology and support to children in need.

Summer, 13, was recently diagnosed with hearing loss after months of testing and specialist visits. Brodie was diagnosed as an infant and continues to rely on hearing care and communication tools to succeed in school and in his community.

There are still more children waiting for the same opportunity.

🎒 These kids are ready for a brand-new school year!

At Aid the Silent, we partner with more than 86 Teachers of the Deaf who are on the front lines every day supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Through these incredible educators, we’re able to help get resources directly into the hands of the kids who need them most.

A HUGE thank you to our partners at CBC Deaf and CBC Global for providing an abundance of brand-new backpacks for our students! Because of their generosity, kids across our community are heading into the 2026–2027 school year prepared, excited, and ready to learn. 💙

Today was a BIG day for Andrew—he got his hearing aid! 💙

Andrew has faced challenges with hearing at school, at home, and in conversations with the people around him, but he continues to show so much determination.

His mom said it best: “I am asking for consideration not because my son lacks potential, but because he has so much of it.”

Today, we got to celebrate Andrew taking another step forward in his hearing journey. His new hearing aid will help give him greater access in the classroom, more connection with friends and family, and the confidence to keep doing what he does best—being a kid and reaching his full potential.
