Brooks Collegiate Academy (BCA) students are motivated, enthusiastic, life-long learners. BCA students are interested in reaching their full potential in academics as well as in personal character. BCA students and staff are athletically inclined, interested in either the performance and participation in sports, or the competitive atmosphere and world of health, wellness, and entertainment. Charter School program affiliate, BCA encourages all its students to pursue their interests in Sports Management & Business, Sports Medicine, and/or Sports Journalism & Media Production.

Senior Ozzy R. tried out for the ATSSB All-State Jazz Track on Saturday and got into the all-region band! He’s going to have a concert in February. It’s amazing that he’s the first student from Somerset Academy Collegiate to audition for the jazz track. We’re so proud of his achievements! 🎸

Starting Friday morning in the arena, everyone will receive a bead! If you get asked to play, YOU MUST SAY YES! you may only rock paper scissors ONE time, ONLY with your grade level! each grade will have their own color bead 🙃 -

Coach Picasso’s class practiced their engineering skills with a third grade science activity! Students had to create a bridge using toothpicks and marshmallows with a goal of seeing how many pennies each bridge would hold when placing an index card on it.
Students brainstormed multiple solutions and then used one to construct the marshmallow bridge, which they tested by adding pennies and then considered ideas for improving the design of their bridge. 🙌 🌁🌉

Huge shoutout and thank you to all of our wonderful Bear Grandparents who made it out for Friday’s parade! Students gathered to cheer on their grandparents and surrogate grandparents as they made their way around campus. We ❤️ our Grandparents and are so thankful for the support and love they all show our students everyday! Happy Grandparents Day!!! 👴👵🏾
