🎓 Graduating Senior Spotlight 🎓 Congratulations to Elisa M., who graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School. Among her many accomplishments, she received the Archbishop of San Antonio's Medallion for her servant leadership. Only one medallion is presented annually at each archdiocesan Catholic high school. She also was presented the Junior Oblate Cross as a graduating senior and recognized for her four years of fall cross country and spring track seasons.

She plans to major in public history with a minor in political science at St. Mary's University. Her life goal is to work in a museum as a curator or manager of archives. Her Gold Award project reflects that love as she is documenting the history and impact of the Brigidine Sisters in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Elisa joined Girl Scouts as a Daisy, earned her Silver Award, and is applying to earn her Gold Award in 2027. She is a member in both Trailblazer Troop 5103 and traditional Troop 3079, based out of St. Paul Catholic Church. She bridged to Adults in May and joins her two older sisters as lifetime Girl Scouts. 💚✨

⭐ Girl Scout Gold Award Spotlight ⭐ Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Paige J. of Converse, a member of Troop 1318 and a student at Karen Wagner High School.

Paige used her to bring awareness to teen dating violence, an important issue that is often overlooked among teens ages 13-18, she said. Through presentations, interactive activities, and educational resources, Paige helped 56 students better understand domestic violence, recognize the signs of an abusive relationship, and learn where to find help. Her audience's knowledge increased from 68% on a pre-test to 93% on a post-test! 💜

Paige also created brochures with helpful resources and QR codes to ensure the information continues to reach teens beyond her project.

Congratulations, Paige, on using your voice, courage, and leadership to educate others and promote healthy relationships! Paige is also the recipient of the Trifecta Award, meaning she earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. 💚✨

A big thank you to our Girl Scouts who proudly represented GSSWT by volunteering at Communities In Schools of San Antonio's annual Stuff the Bus event at H-E-B! 🍎

✏️ Our Girl Scouts helped support local students and families as the community came together to collect school supplies for the upcoming school year. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment to serving others reflect the Girl Scout mission of making the world a better place. 🎒

🚌 As our Girl Scouts gear up for another exciting school year, we're proud to see them leading through service and giving back to their communities. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this year's Stuff the Bus event a success!

⭐ Girl Scout Award Gold Award Spotlight ⭐ Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Erin S. of San Antonio, a member of Troop 3129 and a graduate of James Madison High School. For her project, Erin noticed that her neighborhood community center's outdoor space lacked shade, making it difficult for residents to enjoy during San Antonio's warm (and hot) months. So, she built a 12-by-20-foot gazebo and a community garden to create a welcoming, shaded space for community events, gatherings, workshops, and more. ☀️🌳

After researching, fundraising, and overcoming scheduling and budget challenges, Erin led a team of volunteers to complete the project in just two weekends. The new gazebo has already helped increase interest and rentals at the community center and will provide a lasting space for neighbors and community groups to enjoy for years to come.

Congratulations, Erin, on earning your Girl Scout Gold Award and making a lasting impact in your community! 💚✨

🌟 Troop Spotlight 🌟📚💚 As part of their World of Girls Take Action project, Troop 5173 volunteered on Saturdays with the SAISD Foundation’s Book Buddies program, donating, sorting, and organizing books for students across San Antonio ISD.

The girls helped prepare thousands of books for distribution so students can build home libraries and grow as strong and proud readers. Books were carefully sorted by grade level and condition, ready to be shared with children throughout the community. Through this service, the girls strengthened their leadership skills while supporting literacy and a lifelong love of reading.

Way to go, Troop 5173! 📖💚✨
