Lee County you SHOWED UP! We served 300+ individuals today at our Summer Reading Kick Off event.

We packed the room to capacity and some couldn’t come in because there was simply no room to fit another kiddo in the space. We are sorry if you were deterred. The overall response to our new library and the programs we offer has been incredible. We want to make sure all our community members benefit from library services and we will continue to do the best to our ability to serve our county.

A huge thank you to Dana Hill and his Presto Prehistoric show! We had so much fun, learned some amazing facts, and enjoyed some crazy tricks!

Stop by the LCL Children's Department at the Main Library (1740 Bragg Street, Sanford) during open hours for a fun 'Handprint Octopus' craft that will be available all month long! All supplies are provided for in-house use only. Tables are accessible in the Children's department to drop-in and complete the craft anytime during your library visit. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Calling all tweens! Join us on the first and third Mondays of each month from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM at the new Main Library (1740 Bragg St, Sanford) for LCL Inbe-TWEEN-ers, a special program just for ages 10 - 13.

This week, we'll meet on Monday, June 1 at 4:30 PM for an afternoon of fractured drawing and creation. This drop-off program gives tweens a chance to connect, create, and have fun. Parents do not need to be present.

LCL Story Time offerings:
Babies age 0-18 months:
Main - Wednesdays at 10 AM
Broadway - Fridays at 10 AM

Teens, this one’s for you! Drop by the new Main Library (1740 Bragg St, Sanford) every Thursday from 4 PM - 6 PM for LCL Teen Time. Enjoy a laid-back hangout space in the teen area where something new is happening each week.

This week, join us on Thursday, May 28 at 4 PM, an exciting night of 'Music BINGO' and snacks! Open to ages 13 - 18. No registration needed, just show up and bring a friend!

Our Drop-In Tech Time program is available on the 2nd and 4th Thursday every month and open to anyone with questions about how to use their portable technology device! We will meet Thursday, May 28, at 2:30 PM at the new Main Library (1740 Bragg Street, Sanford). A library staff member will provide help with the device you bring in (please also bring any charging cords for the device).

Portable technology devices covered include eBooks/eReaders, Basic computer navigation, Basic app use, Basic cellphone use, Basic tablet use.

We cannot provide medical or legal advice or assist with entering in sensitive information for you. Registration is not required. We hope to see you there!
