The clothing is neatly displayed, and the Library Tees are prepared for tomorrow! Join us for a Pop-Up Sample Shop on Saturday, June 13th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We have an amazing selection of over 300 items including blouses, pants, skirts, and dresses available in sizes M and 1X. Additionally, we’re excited to offer a new stock of our popular Scranton Public Library Tees in sizes S through 2X. Everything is priced at $15 and under, making it the perfect opportunity to refresh your summer wardrobe!

This dress, along with many other fabulous items, will be featured at our Pop-up shop this weekend! Come visit us on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until supplies run out). We have a wonderful selection of skirts, pants, dresses, blouses, and more, all directly from New York City, available in medium and 1X sizes. In our collection of Mayor Robert H. McKune's papers, the Reference Department discovered two invitations for clam bakes. The clam bake for citizens of Carbondale was held at Crystal Lake. A newspaper article published in the Scranton Republican noted that ten thousand clams were eaten after being prepared in over a "half dozen ways for eating." In addition, no alcohol was served at the event. The clam bake on Dickson's Island was likely in support of the Exempt Fireman's Association chapter located in Binghamton or Hornellsville, New York.
