WHY RENT A ROCK?! You can rent a rock for almost anything! The possibilities are endless!

Paint the rock to celebrate birthdays, achievements, as a 'thank you', congratulations, good luck, a special milestone, offer well wishes, or words of encouragement. The rock is a fun way to share any kind of positive message. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT A ROCK?

$15 per 24-hour rental period. HOW LONG IS MY RENTAL FOR? Rock rental begins on the day BEFORE your reservation date at 4:00 PM and continues until 4:00 PM on the DAY OF your reservation date. (Example: Jane wants to rent a rock for October 22, she paints the rock beginning at 4:00 PM on October 21.) You may sign up for more than one day per year. However, to give everyone an opportunity to rent a rock, you may not rent the same rock for more than two consecutive days. HOW DO I RENT A ROCK? Reserving a rock is easy! Just click the Reserve A Rock button above. Find your date, and add it to your cart! If the rock is already reserved, you will not be able to add it to your cart. https://www.rgspta.org/rent-a-rock

ARE THERE ANY RULES OR RESTRICTIONS REGARDING WHAT CAN BE PUT ON THE ROCK? All rock decorations must meet the same handbook standard expected of any school sponsored sign, attire, event, etc... Renting the rock for advertising, political, or religious purposes is prohibited. RGS PTA has the right to remove any painting deemed inappropriate by school administration without notice to those who rented and/or painted the rock. WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED? You will typically need 2-3 cans of spray paint for the base coat. Additional acrylic or latex paint (note-latex paint takes longer to dry. Plan accordingly.), tarps/drop cloths/garbage bags to protect the grass, and craft/foam brushes for the design. WHERE DOES THE PAYMENT GO TOWARD? All proceeds benefit RGS PTA and will be used to support students, teachers, and staff. WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD FOR THE DAY I RENT THE ROCK? The rock can easily be towel-dried and painted. You may wish to bring a large tent for shelter/shade from the elements while painting. The PTA will not offer refunds under any circumstance.

Congratulations to the following students for making the South Carolina Elementary Honors Chorus! All SIX of our students made it this year and we couldn't be more proud of their hard work! These students will attend the SCMEA Music Educators Conference in February and will work with Elizabeth Núñez, a conductor, clinician, speaker, soloist, and Creative Director of the award-winning Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) We are so proud of these students and we look forward to their performance. 🎶

🍧 Kona Ice is Coming to RGS Tomorrow to Celebrate Our Students! 🎉

🏆 For the first time in school history, BOTH our Elementary and Middle School earned an EXCELLENT rating on the South Carolina School Report Card and we’re celebrating this amazing academic achievement!
✨ We're also celebrating our students’ INCREDIBLE participation and support during this year's Boosterthon fundraiser, we exceeded our goal!

🍧 Thursday, October 29 from 10am-2pm (Students Only)
🍧 Kona Ice is on us! The RGS PTA will cover the cost of this event for our students

RGS has introduced a new event registration process through the Raptor Visitor Management System to help reduce wait times and make attending school events easier! Sign up today and get started in a few easy steps:

1️⃣ Download the Raptor Safe app from the Apple App Store. Look for the orange shield icon with a white “R” by Raptor Technologies.

2️⃣ Create your account and complete the one-time identity authentication process.

3️⃣ Register for your school event using the link provided by RGS.

4️⃣ Receive your digital ticket with a unique QR code.

5️⃣ Scan your QR code at check-in.

💚 You only need to create and authenticate your Raptor account ONCE! For future events, simply register to receive your new ticket.
