On May 28, 2026, at approximately 10:22 p.m., the Soledad Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 100 block of Buena Vista Park.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from significant facial injuries. Officers immediately rendered aid until medical personnel arrived on scene.

The victim was transported by American Medical Response (AMR) to Natividad Medical Center for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was assaulted by multiple individuals prior to officers' arrival. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and working to identify all persons involved.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Press Release: Soledad Police Department Investigating Armed Robbery

On May 29, 2026, at approximately 12:52 p.m., the Soledad Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 2400 block of H De La Rosa Shopping Center involving an armored vehicle.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the armored vehicle was assaulted by four armed suspects. The suspects forcibly stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, officers determined the suspects abandoned the initial getaway vehicle in the area of the H De La Rosa Shopping Center and fled in a second vehicle. The second vehicle was later located abandoned approximately one mile outside of city limits. Investigators believe the suspects then fled the area in an unknown third vehicle.No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives are actively pursuing leads and working to identify and locate all individuals involved.

Today, members of the Soledad Police Department participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Northern California

Thank you to the students, teachers, and supporters who came out to cheer us on with handmade signs and incredible energy.
