Dove Hunting permits will be sold at the following locations through September 15th, 2026

1. Tribal Administration

Hours: Monday thru Friday; 8am to 4pm. Closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
▪ See Receptionist for permit application.
▪ To receive a permit through by the mail, hunters will need to complete the permit application and send payment prior to receiving the permit or hunters can pick up their permit at the Tribal Cocopah Administration office (Finance window). Please contact the Receptionist for a copy of the application.

2. Cocopah Gift Shop

The Cocopah Indian Tribe earlier today held a swearing-in ceremony for the 2026-2028 Cocopah Tribal Council.

Tribal members two weeks ago voted to re-elect Honorable Chairwoman Sherry Cordova, Vice-Chairman Neil White, Councilwoman Wynnie Ortega, Councilwoman Florence M. Fitch and Councilwoman Jennifer Townsend.

Councilmembers serve two-year terms.

The Cocopah Education Department recognized the achievements of Cocopah students in academic excellence, sports, attendance, and participation in extracurricular activities during the past school year.

The annual event was held in the ballroom at the Cocopah RV & Golf Resort on Wednesday, July 22.

Cocopah Celebrates Opening of New Event Center

The Cocopah Indian tribe on July 11 celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the art event center. The tribe held a luncheon at noon or all tribal members and at 6:30p held a VIP invitation only dinner in its main ballroom. An estimated 250 dignitaries and invitees attended the event.
The facility built and designed, by Pilkington Construction Co. and Thompson Design Architects, can accommodate up to 4,741 guests in total.
The center is 82,985 square feet in size and is the largest such facility of its kind in Yuma County.
