Welcome!

The Speedway Police Department is proud to welcome Officer Brandon Whitesides to our department.

Officer Whitesides joins SPD after working as an electrician for Citizens Energy. Before that, he served in the National Guard. We thank him for his service to our country and look forward to the continued service he will provide to the Town of Speedway.

Please join us in welcoming Officer Whitesides to the department and the Speedway community!

MUNICIPAL CENTER CLOSURE NOTICE

The Speedway Municipal Center will be closed to the public on Friday, June 26, 2026, to accommodate building repairs.

Administrative staff and employees of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office will be working remotely and may be reached through their regular phone extensions or by calling 317-246-4111.

The Waterworks Utility Billing drop box will remain available throughout the closure and is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Speedway Police Department will remain open and fully staffed, with personnel onsite throughout the day.

Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day on June 26. Barring any unforseen delays, Town offices will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, June 29, 2026.

That's a wrap on 500 vending permits! Race fans should have plenty of food, drinks, and merchandise. Permits issued this year: 119 peddler, 31 food stand, 17 merchandise trailers, and 7 ice permits.
