♻️ Hazelwood Recycle Day is almost here!

Gather your unwanted electronics, paper, textiles, appliances, and other recyclable items and join us for this year's Recycle Day event.

📅 Saturday, June 13, 2026
⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
📍 Boeing Parking Lot
321 James S. McDonnell Blvd.
(Use entrance off Fee Fee Road)

✅ Accepted Items Include:
• TVs, computers, electronics & appliances
• Rechargeable batteries
• Paper shredding (limit 2 boxes per car)
• Auto & motorcycle fluids, parts & batteries
• Medical equipment
• Clothing & textiles
• Plastics, glass, aluminum, cardboard & metal cans

💲 Fees:
• First two TVs/monitors FREE for St. Louis County residents
• Additional flat-screen TVs/monitors: $10 each
• Tube, console & big-screen TVs: $30 each
• Passenger car/truck tires: $5 each
• Commercial tires: $8 each

❌ Items NOT Accepted:
• Yard waste
• Paints & stains
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Disposable batteries
• Mercury thermostats
• Catalytic converters
• Gas/oil devices
• Toxic chemicals
• Radioactive, biohazard, or explosive materials

GRANT OPPORTUNITY - On Monday, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) launched an RFA to prevent household food waste. This effort is part of the National Household Wasted Food Prevention Project (NHWFPP). Two subaward grant opportunities are now available:

Innovator Grants ($75K–$300K): Support focused creative, locally tailored strategies to motivate target audiences to prevent wasted food.
Catalyst Grants ($300K–$750K): Support larger-scale projects to implement household wasted food prevention strategies across a variety of communities.

Eligible applicants include nonprofits, tribal and local governments, U.S. territories and states, and higher education institutions.

Applications are due by September 1, 2026.
