Artist Cotoria McCarthy, a 2026 SHS graduate, was recognized at the Stroudsburg School Board meeting for creating a beautiful Keystone representing the communities that make up the Stroudsburg Area School District. Commissioner Laverdure presented her with a certificate of special recognition and a Semiquincentennial challenge coin. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Courtney Lepore and Art Teacher Bethany Wert were also recognized for their efforts in coordinating the project. (Indoor photos by Cindy Blake).

Congratulations to Geocachers Angel, Falcon999 and DisneyBoyTyler from Pike, and Wayne Counties who completed the Monroe County America250PA Geocache and picked up their Challenge Coin prizes at Pocono Rocks. They did it in three visits and tried new restaurants along the way. To participate, pick up the list at any of the following locations: Monroe County Historical Association, Brodhead Creek Heritage Center, Stroud Recreation, Pocono Soap, Pocono Indian Museum or Pocono Rocks.
