The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management still has seats available in the upcoming Truck Company Operations I class at the Monroe County Public Safety Center.

This hands-on course provides firefighters with the knowledge and skills needed to perform essential truck company functions, including:

๐Ÿš’ Fall 2026 Firefighter Essentials Program ๐Ÿš’

The schedule for the Fall 2026 Firefighter Essentials Program under the new NFPA 1010 standard is now available!

A few important updates:

โœ… Firefighter II is not included in the Essentials program but will be offered separately for students and departments wishing to continue their certification process.

โœ… Traffic Incident Management Personnel has been added to the schedule as it is now a prerequisite for the Fire Ground Support certification, along with the required Hazardous Materials courses.

โœ… Students will still register through the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management; however, all students must now create a Campus Marketplace account and establish a relationship with the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management. This step is required before registration can be completed.
