The Monroe County Board of Commissioners received notice of a grant award in the amount of the $1,250,000.00 for the construction of a new wastewater treatment facility in Snydersville from Congressman Rob Bresnahan. The new facility will replace the existing facility which serves the Burnley Workshop, Coroner’s Office, Monroe County Correctional Facility, Hamilton Manor, and Stroudsburg Acute Care. Receiving the check from Congressman Bresnahan is Chairman John Christy, Vice-chairman David Parker, and Commissioner Sharon Laverdure.

Kudos to Tracey McGarry who exceeded the minimum requirement of 10 for the National Historic Registry Passport and visited all 16 sites in Monroe County. She has also hiked well over 250 miles in our County Parks qualifying for the 250 for 250 T-shirt as well.
