Poplar Valley Rd East is OPEN!
A sincere thank you and congratulations to the Stroud Township Road Crew for their outstanding work in successfully replacing a failed open-grate bridge with a new aluminum culvert bridge structure.
The Township was able to keep the road open with a temporary one lane bridge while we waited on permitting and approvals.
From demolition to installation and site restoration, the crew completed this important infrastructure project in just 9 weeks, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, dedication, and professionalism. Their efforts have improved safety, enhanced drainage, and restored reliable access for residents and emergency services alike.
This project is another example of the hard work our road crew performs every day to maintain and improve Stroud Township's transportation infrastructure.

Gaunt Road Yard Waste Recycling facility will be closed on Saturday, May 23, 2026 through Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. The yard waste recycling facility at 134 Gaunt Road will be re-open on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 7:30 AM.

Not all fill dirt is clean.

Improper or contaminated fill can contain construction debris, chemicals, or other harmful materials that may impact your property, water, and health.
Before accepting or using fill dirt:
• Know where it’s coming from
• Avoid material with debris, unusual odors, or discoloration
• Ask for documentation or testing if unsure

If you see suspicious dumping or questionable fill activity in your area, report it to your local municipality or the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
