🐅ONCE A TIGER, FOREVER A TIGER🐅

Some moments are better seen than told.

Former Tiger and NFL standout Justin Simmons returned to Martin County High School to spend time with students, share lessons from his journey and encourage them to believe in themselves and put in the work.

He also stayed to serve as the honorary captain for that night’s football game—and celebrate a Tigers win. 🏈🙌

When our alumni come back and share their stories, it gives our students something you can’t always teach in a classroom: a real-life look at what’s possible. That’s Martin Means More.

🇺🇸REMEMBERING 9/11🇺🇸

For some, Sept. 11 is a memory. For today’s students, it is history. Twenty-five years later, the 9/11 Memorial Bridge Walk gives every generation an opportunity to remember and honor the thousands of lives lost.

Superintendent Michael Maine invites students and families to join Martin County Fire Rescue, the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Martin County Board of County Commissioners, the Martin County Police Athletic League and Martin County Firefighters Benevolent for this meaningful tribute.

📍The opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 11 at Jock Leighton Park, followed by the three-mile bridge walk at 9 a.m.

Students who attend will receive an excused tardy with a special wristband from PAL. Students needing transportation must be accompanied by an adult. More info: https://www.martinschools.org/article/3093091

Let’s come together to ensure Martin County never forgets.

MIDDLE SCHOOL HAS ENTERED THE CHAT💬👏

Week 4️⃣ is here, and our middle schoolers are already finding their rhythm!

From academics and electives to athletics, clubs and activities, there’s a lot happening once that bell rings at our middle schools. Curriculum Night gave families a chance to see it all up close (and experience those walks in between classes for themselves 😆).

🎥 Here's a peek at what's going on at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School and what parents learned during Curriculum Night.

⚡POWERING UP THE COMMUNITY⚡

For some Warfield Elementary School students, this was their first time seeing a bucket truck up close—and they got to learn exactly how those trucks and the people who operate them help keep our community powered.

In recognition of Lineworker Appreciation Day, Florida Power & Light visited Warfield to introduce students to the important work and career opportunities of lineworkers.

Our students and staff had cards and banners ready to say thank you, but FPL had a few surprises of their own—bringing coffee and donuts for our staff and school supplies for students. ☕🍩📚

These kinds of hands-on “show and tells” give students a chance to see careers up close, ask questions and start imagining where their own interests might take them!
