We are EXCITED for our Business After-Hours with Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce. 😁 The entire community can join the fun from 4-6 p.m. tomorrow (Sept. 3) at the Syracuse Public Library, 115 E. Main St., Syracuse, IN. The Sweet Oven will serve sweet and savory treats while Brew City Roasting Company is bringing delicious drinks. We'll have tours and share more information about our new building project. We'll also have demos of our new Library of Things!

Help us eat and drink all of the goodies! Libraries are all about community, so come meet your neighbors and see what the library has to offer!

The Friends of the Syracuse Public Library meet at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Sept. 3) in the downstairs meeting room. We welcome anyone who wishes to join the Friends and support the Syracuse Public Library to attend!

The Friends of the Syracuse Public Library support the library and its mission of lifelong learning through fundraisers, donations, volunteerism, and facilitating programs.

If you love the library, consider joining the Friends! Membership is $20, and currently, those who join have the chance to win a $25 gift card to Syracuse Cafe!

The letter D will be flying into Storytime tomorrow, September 2! Join us at 10:30 am to meet friends, hear stories, and create a fun craft. Homeschoolers will also be meeting (lower grades downstairs, upper grades upstairs) at the same time. This will mark the beginning of their debate unit - hope see everyone there!

🍂 Summer may draw to a close, but the fun never stops at Syracuse Public Library! This September we have a LOT planned! The entire community is invited to our Business After-Hours with the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce. It runs from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. We'll have tours, tasty treats, and more! September is Library Card Sign-up Month! In the last 30 days, Syracuse Public Library registered 50 people, and we hope to register even more during the month of September. A library card is so much more than a passport to books!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦It is a community!
🔭It is access to the Library of Things!
🎟It is access to passes to visit state parks and Science Central!
🖨It is access to affordable printing and faxing!
🖨It is access to free scanning!
🍅It is access to free seeds to grow tasty vegetables at home!
💻It is access to technology!
📣And these are just the quick highlights!

People get so much from their library cards nowadays. Syracuse Public Library is also one of more than 130 Evergreen Indiana libraries. That means our patrons have access to millions of additional materials beyond our brick-and-mortar walls. If you aren't library carded yet, make it a point to grab yours in September! All Syracuse and Turkey Creek Township residents qualify for a free library card. Bring in your ID with your updated address; the card only takes a few minutes to set up. If your ID isn't updated yet, bring in a piece of mail with your name and your new address on it.

Existing patrons who have lost their cards or have one in terrible shape can also get free replacement cards during September.

A new session of STEM Club launches in September! This session will focus on dairy experiments. STEM Club meets at 4 p.m. every Monday in September, starting Sept. 14.
