Please join us for a free Facebook Live Workshop, “Finding the Balance: Caring for Yourself While Caring for a Loved One with Dementia"
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Eastern Time)
Thursday, August 13, 2026
The workshop offers practical tips for family caregivers to balance self-care while supporting their loved ones with dementia. Our first two presenters, Dr. Linda Miles and Pastor Brett Cooper, will illustrate easy-to-use techniques to increase caregiver well-being, such as deep breathing, meditation, and emotional regulation.
They also will provide tips for observing and listening, creating opportunities for humor, and thinking outside the box.
Our third presenter, ACTS2 Project Coordinator, Tomeka Norton-Brown, will provide information about caregiver skills building and support and community-based dementia care resources.
Elder care professionals, future caregivers, and other interested community members are also strongly encouraged to join the workshop.
