Stop by the library and join our youth book clubs!

Our next book pick for Tween Book Club is the graphic novel The Tea Dragon Society by K. O'Neill, something short and fun while students adjust to being back to school! A copy of the book can be picked up from the library starting this Friday, August 21st. We will be meeting Friday, September 18th from 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Starting in September we have our new K-2 Book Club! We invite Kindergartners, 1st Graders, and 2nd graders to join us to discuss The Binder of Doom: Brute-Cake by Troy Cummings and do a related craft/activity! No reading will be done during book club, so if your child doesn't know how to read we invite you to still join us! A copy of the book can be picked up from the library starting this Friday, August 21st. We will be meeting Friday, September 25th from 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Join us Thursday, August 27th from 5:00-7:00PM to read aloud to a trained therapy dog for 15 minutes. Children and teens can also use their 15 minutes to practice book reports or speeches for school, or whatever you think will build their confidence in their reading and speaking skills. There are 16 slots open to read or speak aloud to a therapy dog and registration is required. They love to hear all the stories and get all the pets, so call or stop in the library to sign up starting 10 a.m. August 13! This program is for beginning readers, kids, tweens, and teens
