At this time, officers are working to locate their parent or guardian.

There has been some misinformation circulating regarding the temporary No Parking signs posted in neighborhoods for the Telegraph Cruise.

To clarify:

The signs are official and were placed by the Taylor Police Department.

These temporary parking restrictions are implemented to maintain public safety, keep roadways clear, and ensure emergency vehicles can access neighborhoods during one of the region's largest events.

We use similar parking restrictions during other large community events, including the Taylor Summer Festival.

If a vehicle is towed for violating the temporary parking restrictions, it is handled by J&T Crova—not Area Towing.

Claims that the City or the Taylor Police Department receive kickbacks or have a financial incentive to tow vehicles are false.

We understand these temporary restrictions can be inconvenient, but they are put in place solely to help keep residents, visitors, and first responders safe.

We encourage everyone to verify information before sharing it.

False allegations can unfairly damage the reputations of local businesses, public employees, and others in our community.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to make the Telegraph Cruise a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

🚨 SCAM ALERT: Don't Fall for Jury Duty or Warrant Phone Scams 🚨

The Taylor Police Department has received reports of scammers posing as law enforcement officers and court officials, claiming you have missed jury duty or that there is a warrant for your arrest.

The scammers often use fear and urgency to pressure victims into sending money immediately using Bitcoin, Cash App, gift cards, Zelle, Venmo, or other electronic payment methods.

Remember:
❌ The Taylor Police Department will never call you to tell you that you have a warrant for your arrest.
❌ We will never demand payment over the phone to avoid arrest.
❌ We will never ask you to pay fines or bonds using cryptocurrency, gift cards, or payment apps.

If you receive a call like this:
• Hang up immediately.
• Do not send money or provide personal information.
• Do not follow instructions to purchase gift cards or cryptocurrency.
• If you're unsure whether a call is legitimate, contact the Taylor Police Department using our non-emergency phone number.
