Our talented LCD youth did it again!

Yesterday, our students took their skills beyond the classroom and into the real world as the official event photographers for a community event hosted by Pilates Tempe.

From capturing candid moments to documenting the energy and excitement of the event, our young photographers demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and confidence behind the camera. These opportunities allow our students to gain valuable hands-on experience while building the workforce skills needed for future careers in media, photography, and digital arts.

We are incredibly proud of the amazing work they continue to produce and grateful to community partners who help provide these real-world learning experiences.

At Lights Camera Discover, we don't just teach skills, we create opportunities for youth to apply them.

We Still Need a Few More Lunch Sponsors!

Starting June 1st, will be serving lunch daily to 60 amazing students participating in our summer digital arts & STEAM program.

We are currently looking for a few more community partners to help provide meals for our youth throughout the summer.

We are accepting:
Restaurant meal donations
Cash donations to help purchase lunches
Drinks, snacks, and dessert donations

We can even pick up directly from the restaurant or business of your choice to make it easy!
Your support helps us keep our program free for families while ensuring our students stay energized, focused, and creative throughout the day.

Summer Prep Is in Full Swing at Lights Camera Discover!

Today, our youth spent time in the LCD Print Lab helping to get our shirts and program materials ready for an amazing summer! From printing designs to preparing items for camp, our students are gaining real-world experience in creativity, entrepreneurship, and workforce development.

At LCD, we believe learning happens by doing. Every project gives youth the opportunity to build confidence, develop technical skills, and explore future career pathways in the creative industries.
We're excited to see all of their hard work come to life as we kick off our summer programs!

15 YEARS • 15 FILM CREWS

For 15 years, students at Lights Camera Discover have stepped behind the camera, called “ACTION,” worked as teams, and brought stories to life.

From our very first student productions to today’s advanced projects, LCD film crews have done more than make movies — they’ve built confidence, leadership, communication skills, and lifelong friendships.

Every crew member plays an important role:
Camera Operators
Directors
Audio Technicians
Lighting Crew
Script Writers
Editors

Over the years, our youth have learned that filmmaking is more than creativity — it’s teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and believing in yourself.

15 years later, we are still proud to watch students discover their voice through storytelling.
