Kanopy provides instant access to thousands of movies, documentaries and kids' favorites, including studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, PBS and more.

Join us Wednesday, June 10th from 4:00 to 5:00pm for a special reading and tea to commemorate 250 years of the United States of America.

Sue Ekezin will share a historical historical readings focused on the local area and beyond.

The tea will be held in memory of Thomas W. Beeckel, a history buff with a keen interest in the Civil War who enjoyed browsing the library’s annual Book Fair on St. George Day, making many purchases over the years. His wife, Lisa Beeckel, will introduce the talk.

Tea and cookies will be shared. Come join the fun!

Hope to see you Saturday at 10:30am for our talk on brain health with Jennifer H. Bryce! If there's time, there will be brief memory screenings at the end of the talk for those interested.

Thank you to everyone who helped with our "Mini" Plant Sale on Saturday, and a big SHOUT OUT to Bonnie Percival for organizing it!

When some of our plants fell through, Bonnie pivoted and forged ahead, and despite not having as many plants as previous years, we still had a wonderful variety of natives, annual, perennials, and more.

Next year we'll take some photos to share!

Join us at the library this Saturday morning to learn about aging and brain health!

On Saturday, May 30th from 10:30 to 11:30am, Jennifer H. Bryce of Mainely Memory will share practical, compassionate strategies to age well while staying engaged and informed. She’ll discuss brain health, memory changes associated with aging, and early awareness of cognitive concerns. Time permitting, brief memory screenings may be available at the end of the presentation for those who are interested.

See you tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd, 9-11am for our Mini Plant Sale!

A small collection of plants of various varieties and sizes will be available: perennials, annuals, veggies, seedings, houseplants and more! Gardening tools and plant containers will also be available.

The sale will be smaller than in previous years, so please arrive on the early side for the best selection.

*Labeled* plants and gently used garden tool donations will be accepted the week leading up to the sale during regular open hours. No plant donations after Friday, May 22nd please.

The sale begins promptly at 9:00am. *No early birds.*

Caregivers Support will meet next Tuesday at the library. Newcomers are welcome!

Caregivers Support Group will be meeting this Tuesday, May 26th from 10-11am at the Jackson Memorial Library! Held on the 4th Tuesday of every month, the group provides a safe, understanding space for those caring for loved ones to connect with others who share the same challenges and need for emotional support.
