Cluster of severe storms over Illinois will move into western portions of central Indiana through 8 PM and into the Indy Metro and central counties between 8 and 10 PM. All types of severe hazards are possible, including damaging winds to 80 mph, hail to 2 inches in diameter and tornadoes. Now is a good time to review your safety plan and ways to get warnings.

Tipton County has been issued a tornado watch until 1am. Have multiple ways to receive alerts and be very weather aware.

While the greatest tornado threat appears to be shifting south and west of Tipton county we still need to be vigilant and watch as this storm develops

Update to timing and location of risks. Still expecting two rounds of storms. One this afternoon while the next will be late afternoon into evening and overnight hours. Severe storms likely, with the second round. All hazards possible, including damaging to winds, large hail, and tornadoes. Flash flooding is also possible.

Increasing confidence for severe storms tomorrow evening/night with all hazards on the table including damaging wind, hail, and tornadoes. Continue to monitor the weather and have a plan in place.

Severe storms are likely across central Indiana Wednesday afternoon into the evening and overnight hours. All hazards are possible, including damaging to destructive winds, large hail, and tornadoes. Flash flooding is also possible.

For Wednesday, the Enhanced Risk area of severe thunderstorms was expanded. This means that numerous severe storms are possible. We'll be closely monitoring any storms earlier in the day and how that impacts the late-day severe storms chances. Be weather aware!
