What a day! 🌧️ Event sustainability takes a little extra effort - especially on a rainy day.

At the Garmin Marathon, we helped keep valuable materials out of the landfill by collecting:

♻️ Bottles & cans
♻️ GU packs
♻️ Clothing
♻️ Cardboard
♻️ Food waste

And none of it happens without the people behind the effort. A huge thank you to the Exchange Club of Maumee and Rotaract Club of Toledo for volunteering their time and helping make a more sustainable event possible! 💚

In partnership with Lucas County Solid Waste Management District, we collected agricultural tires for recycling as a part of a grant received from the Ohio EPA ♻️

Keeping tires (especially large, agricultural tires) off of our land and out of our landfills -

♻️ Saves valuable landfill space
♻️ Prevents chemical pollution
♻️ Reduces mosquitoes and rodent breeding
♻️ Gives tires a new life

Thank you to all that participated!
