Flat Mav Sighting: Grand Cayman Islands! 🏝️☀️

Flat Mav was recently spotted on the beautiful beaches of the Grand Cayman, soaking up the sun and catching some waves with two of our students!

Flat Mav Fun Fact:
The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory associated with the United Kingdom. While they are connected to the UK, they have their own government. The Cayman Islands consist of three main islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman.

Exciting progress is happening around Mason Ridge! Our front parking lot and sidewalk are currently under construction, the Ramsey Center is being completed, and the classrooms in the front hallway are getting brand-new carpet. We will keep everyone posted as these improvements take shape.

Congratulations to our outstanding Mason Ridge MOSAICS students for their exceptional performance in the WordMasters Challenge this school year!

🏆 The 5th Grade Mason Ridge MOSAICS team earned an impressive 7th-place national ranking.

🥈 The 3rd Grade Mason Ridge MOSAICS team achieved an outstanding 2nd-place national ranking.

Our 4th grader who tied for 2nd in the nation.

The WordMasters Challenge is a rigorous academic competition that develops critical-thinking skills through advanced vocabulary and analogies. Participants study 75 challenging vocabulary words and then apply their knowledge to solve analogy-based problems that test analytical and metaphorical reasoning.

We are especially proud of the students who earned Highest Honors, an award reserved for those who finish among the top 10–15 students in the nation at their grade level.

These accomplishments reflect the hard work, dedication, and intellectual curiosity of our students, as well as the support of their teachers and families. Congratulations to all of our Mason Ridge MOSAICS participants on an outstanding year!

Another Flat Mav Sighting! 🧡
This time, Flat Mav was spotted in Oregon, spending time with students at Mount Hood and Multnomah Falls!
Flat Mav Fun Facts:
Mount Hood is Oregon’s tallest mountain. It’s especially unique because it offers the only year-round lift-served skiing in North America. Multnomah Falls is Oregon’s tallest waterfall, plunging about 620 feet in two dramatic tiers over basalt cliffs.
Flat Mav is having quite the adventure and learning about some of Oregon’s most iconic natural landmarks along the way! 🌲🏔️💦

We have our first Flat Mav sighting! He’s been spotted in Naples, Florida!

Flat Mav Fun Fact: Did you know that Naples is the only place in the U.S. that hosts Swamp Buggy Races? Historically, the area’s murky bogs made it difficult to navigate by boat. A Naples resident named Ed Frank invented the very first swamp buggy, called the “Tumble Bug.” The first official Swamp Buggy Race took place in 1943!

Well, that wraps things up for this school year! We wish all of our staff and families a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer.
