This trip, he spent time with one of our families exploring the Field Museum of Natural History.
Flat Mav Fun Fact: The museum was originally called the Columbian Museum of Chicago to honor its beginnings at the World's Fair. In 1905, it was renamed the Field Museum of Natural History in recognition of its primary benefactor, Marshall Field—the founder of the famous Marshall Field's department stores.

Our building really is undergoing a lot of exciting renovations that are taking shape quite nicely! First, big thanks to our Eagle Scout, Josh, for the 2 beautiful picnic tables at our main entrance. The Ramsey Center is nearing completion after a long year of setbacks. Our Parkway grounds crew repainted the lines on our main lot and playground. What a beautiful update! Finally, our 2022 Prop S projects are really looking great. Our building is going to be looking good for Meet the Teacher in August!

Flat Mav has been spotted at Gulf Shores! 🌴☀️ He took a nice break and spent some beach time with one of our families.

Flat Mav Fun Fact: The iconic LuLu's at Homeport Marina is owned by Lucy Buffett, the sister of Jimmy Buffett. During the busy summer season, LuLu's typically serves around 4,000 guests a day, making it one of Gulf Shores' most popular dining destinations! 🍔🎶🏖️

Flat Mav is on the move again!

This time, he was found in Cleveland, Ohio, accompanying two of our students to an Irish dance competition. While there, he spent a day at the beach on Lake Erie and took a tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Flat Mav Fun Fact: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened its doors on September 1, 1995, and features seven levels filled with amazing music memorabilia and exhibits to explore! 🎵🎸🎤

Flat Mav is on the move! 🌎
He has been spotted in Chicago! Here he is posing with one of our students at the famous Cloud Gate, better known as “The Bean,” in Millennium Park.

Flat Mav Fun Fact: Every day, Cloud Gate collects sweat, fingerprints, grease, and dirt from the thousands of visitors who touch its reflective surface. Maintenance crews wipe down the lower, frequently touched areas several times a day and often power wash the sculpture at night. Twice a year, the city gives “The Bean” a deep cleaning using 40 gallons of Tide detergent!

He recently joined one of our students on a visit to Garden of the Gods. What an amazing place to explore!

Flat Mav Fun Fact: In 1878, a dinosaur skull was discovered in the park. More than a century later, in 2006, scientists identified it as a unique species called Theiophytalia kerri.

Flat Mav is traveling with Ms. Katie from the cafeteria and her family in Colorado Springs, Colorado! Along the way, he got to spend some extra time in Abilene, Kansas, due to weather delays and even experienced a dust storm.
Flat Mav had a blast touring the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs! Flat Mav Fun Fact: The training center was moved from New York to Colorado in 1978, and approximately 15,000 athletes train there each year.
