As the Class of 2026 prepares for their next chapter, we remember them first as spunky middle schoolers who found a home at the Rec — even if only for a season. And we still love when that season loops back around and we see them walk through the doors again just to say hi.
This class helped shape our monthly celebrations with We Love Birthday Parties into what they are today. From awkward gym games to packed game room parties, they helped create a culture where teens in Troy are celebrated, valued, and reminded that they matter.
Their willingness to jump in helped grow Cooking Club from six teens around a table to two full sessions of twelve each month.
Every group that comes through these doors leaves its mark on the Rec. Each era has its own identity, but together they’re all part of Pop Dixon’s 85-year-old dream: creating a space where teens feel safe, seen, loved, and at home.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 🥳
