Welcome Sivan Tuchman to Morongo USD!

Tuchman is excited to join Morongo Unified School District as the SELPA Program Manager overseeing the PLUS Program. She brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including work as a special education teacher, Peace Corps Volunteer, researcher, program evaluator and administrator.

After spending a decade as a quantitative researcher and program evaluator, Tuchman returned to education to support educators in implementing high-quality, data-informed instruction. She is passionate about creating inclusive systems, strengthening transition planning and supporting integrated mental health services that improve outcomes for students. Through the PLUS Program, Sivan looks forward to partnering with staff, families and community members to expand opportunities and support services for students with diverse needs.

Welcome Carrie Cole to La Contenta Middle School!

Carrie Cole is excited to serve as Assistant Principal at La Contenta Middle School. This is her twelfth year in education and her tenth year serving students and families in Morongo Unified School District. She believes middle school is a unique and important time in a student's journey—a period when young people develop independence, confidence, and the skills that prepare them for the future.

Cole is committed to creating a school environment where every student feels connected, respected, and supported. She values strong partnerships with families, staff, and the community and looks forward to helping students thrive both academically and personally. Outside of school, Cole enjoys rock climbing in Joshua Tree National Park, hiking and camping with her dogs, skating with her roller derby team and participating in local community events.
