I didn’t think I’d be starting to post fire danger ratings again this soon but here you go. Fire Danger Rating is at High please be mindful when burning, if you do a control burn please call it into Barnes County Dispatch at (701)845-8181.

The next Steering Committee Meeting/Jurisdictional Workshop to update the 2021 Barnes County, ND, Multi-Jurisdictional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan will be held from 6:00pm-9:00pm, CST, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Valley City High School cafeteria (Door W3), Valley City, ND-493 Central Ave N, Valley City, ND 58072. Door located on West side of building.
The agenda includes update on local cost share, an update on the survey, scoring and ranking projects in the mitigation strategy, and new and future development.
Food and beverage will be provided.
The meeting is open to the public.
