Where were you one year ago? That day was warm humid and muggy it definitely gave out thunderstorm vibes and little did we know what was heading our way. That day, June 20, 2025 changed lives of a lot of members of our communities and county, once the storm came through and everyone started picking up the pieces it was evident how much our Barnes County residents young and old stepped up to help out friends, family, neighbors and complete strangers get through this together. When I was out assessing the damage the next day I was filled with the most pride of how all of Barnes County helped out the best they could and sure makes a person proud to be a part of this county. As we reflect a year later, it’s just a reminder how much Mother Nature is in charge. As always be weather aware and reach out to your neighbors today and see how they are doing a year later. Luckily, today’s weather sounds great!!!
