Environmental Health:
The Environmental Health Division provides a wide variety of services to the community. Our staff is dedicated to reducing the risk of contracting disease or experiencing other adverse health effects from pathogens in the environment. Food Services Division:
The Porter County Health Department Food Services Division currently performs routine inspections of over 800 establishments completing 1,800+ inspections per year. This includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, taverns, factories, schools, and bakeries. These inspections ensure food handlers are safely preparing foods as well as maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Nursing Division:
The Nursing Division promotes and protects the health and well-being of our community through a variety of services and programs. Some of our services include:

Provides friendly, courteous and accurate service to our clients while issuing birth and death certification in full compliance with the Indiana State Department of Health.
