We had such a great time at the very first Silver Trails outing at Orchards Community Park! 🌿👟

It was a beautiful day filled with fresh air, towering Douglas-fir, great conversation, and community connection. One of the highlights was discovering the hidden RC car racetrack tucked into the woods, built by local community members!

We’re grateful to partner with Parks Foundation and Vancouver Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services to help create opportunities for older adults to get outside, stay active, explore local parks, and connect with others in the community.

We’re already looking forward to next month’s walk along the Renaissance Trail! 🌳

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the first Silver Trails outing such a success.

🚶🚲🌱 Community feedback helps create safer, stronger, and more connected transportation systems for everyone.

At the recent 192nd Avenue Project open house, community members shared valuable input on how people travel the corridor, roundabout central island design, and preferences for walking, biking, rolling, and crossing improvements along the corridor.

If you missed the open house, there’s still time to participate! The online comment card is open through May 31, and feedback will go directly to the project team to help shape the final design ahead of the final open house in fall 2026.

We encourage community members to share their thoughts and help shape the future of this important corridor: beheardvancouver.org/192nd
