Beginning July 27, sections of Kapukaʻulua (Baldwin Beach Park) in Pāʻia will temporarily close in phases as important dune restoration work gets underway.

This project will help:
    •    Restore native dune ecosystems
    •    Protect our shoreline from erosion and sea level rise
    •    Improve habitat for native wildlife
    •    Enhance the long-term resilience of our coastline

Beach access will remain available, but some areas will be temporarily closed for safety. Please respect all posted signs and barriers while work is in progress.

Restoration is scheduled from late July through November (weather permitting).

Mahalo for your patience and kōkua as we work together to protect one of Maui’s treasured coastal resources for future generations.
