While we are thankful that one of our Assistant Chiefs is still with us after a severe accident, the work has just begun. Now is the time we come together to help one of our own who has helped so many in our community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to A.C. O’Connor, his wife, and their 2 children.

Indiana’s Matthew O’Connor of the Logansport Fire Department was recently involved in an ORV accident and was transported to a trauma center for treatment. He sustained significant injuries, including fractures to his fibula, tibia, ankle, and clavicle, along with a head injury requiring stitche...

Rare air for someone that's not a crew member for this aircraft.

This is the view from the top of the tail of a C-5 Galaxy. I was asked to take this photo by Grissom Fire at the end of the air show. The fire apparatus in the center of the image to either side of the aircraft represent the fire departments that worked the air show this weekend: Grissom ARB Fire Department, Peru Fire Department, Pipe Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, Miami County Indiana, Walton Community Fire Department.

It was a privilege to be asked to take this photo, and to work beside these crews for the day.

We want to thank Grissom ARB Fire Department and the 434th Air Refueling Wing for the hospitality hosting us the last three days while on standby for airshow related emergencies. Multiple agencies, thousands of guests, and it was ran it like a well oiled machine. 🔥

Successful 2026 Family Day! 🌞

Walton firefighters current and former, their families, friends, and supporters of the department gathered this Sunday for our third annual Family Day. The day was filled with stories, laughter, waterball, and great food! Honoring those who have made an impact on this fire department means the world to us and we must cherish these moments with our friends and family!

Unlocked a new portion of the map! 🎉
Galveston Volunteer Fire Department, we might come visit today for old times sake.

We have finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel, and U.S. 35 will be reopening between State Road 18 and State Road 218 near Galveston today. Not all project progress smoothly, and unfortunately, this one encountered numerous issues. We're thankful to the project team who worked diligently through each hurdle to get us to this point.
