The library welcomes Dr. Melba Joyce Boyd, the third poet laureate in Michigan history, for a poetry reading and discussion. As โ€œAmbassador for Poetry,โ€ she works to promote poetry as an art form, expand access to the literary arts, and promote poetry as a literary voice.

Join us as we kick off summer reading club at the Busch Branch Library on Saturday, June 13th @ 2 pm with help from GP Zoology! Desmond is on vacation! PAWS to Read at Civic Center Library will not be taking place today. Desmond will be back next Wednesday, June 3 from 5 to 6 pm.

Our certified therapy dog visits Civic Center Library weekly on Wednesdays at 5 pm for children to read to him. No registration is required.
