25 years ago, America was attacked. Nearly 3,000 innocent Americans were taken from us, and countless heroes ran toward the danger.

We remember the lives lost. We honor the first responders who answered the call. And we salute the generations of servicemembers who stepped up to defend our nation.

9/11 changed America FOREVER. We must NEVER FORGET the lessons of that day, and we must NEVER become complacent about the threats facing our country.

Our military and intelligence community must have the tools, resources, and resolve to stay ahead of those who want to harm Americans.

We honor those we lost by doing everything in our power to keep America SAFE, STRONG, and FREE.

Today marks 1 year since the TRAGIC MURDER of Charlie Kirk.

Jane and I will continue to pray for his family and his legacy as America continues to grieve this immeasurable loss.

Political violence has NO PLACE in our democracy. We will continue to honor Charlie by defending the principles he believed in and REFUSING to let his voice be silenced.

Yesterday, I visited Shanksville to honor the heroes we lost on Flight 93.

25 years after 9/11, we must never forget—and we must never become complacent. Our adversaries have evolved, and our Intelligence Community must have the tools, resources, and oversight needed to keep Americans safe while protecting our freedoms.

We owe it to those we lost and to future generations to remain vigilant.
