Ward 4 Day is coming to the National Building Museum *this Friday* from 2-5pm! Be sure to use your FREE entry to check out The Playground, the museum's 14,000-sq ft architectural playground exhibit featuring 9 activity zones designed for climbing, building, creating, and open-ended play.

On select dates throughout the summer, residents of the featured ward receive complimentary admission to both the National Building Museum and The Playground. To access free admission as a Ward 4 resident, check in at the Museum’s Visitor Center upon arrival.

Today the Council adopted my amendment to the FY27 BSA to ensure that the maximum duration of leave under the D.C. program is fully restored in 2030.

We made history 10 years ago. And we made history again this year, when D.C. became the ONLY state program to have ever rolled back its program in the 25 years of state paid family and medical leave programs.

If we are to remain competitive – if we are to do right by D.C.’s families – then we must right this wrong as soon as possible.

🚨 As a reminder, DC is under an Extreme Heat Advisory until Sunday morning. Remember to check in on older neighbors, young children, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to heat.
