I enjoyed speaking with a group of local Occupational and Physical Therapists in Hudson who are providing rehabilitation services to patients throughout Pasco County. It was also a pleasure to visit with several patients, who shared their personal experiences and highlighted the positive impact these dedicated professionals have had on their recovery and quality of life. Hearing firsthand from both therapists and patients provided valuable insight into the challenges they face while helping individuals regain mobility, independence, and confidence following injuries, surgeries, and other medical conditions. Occupational and Physical Therapists play an essential role in our healthcare system, and I greatly appreciate their unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. I look forward to continuing to work with these healthcare professionals to address barriers within our healthcare system and ensure that patients have timely access to the rehabilitation services they need to get back on their feet.

Every Veteran who served our nation deserves the dignity and security of having a place to call home. I'm encouraged to see the Department of Veterans Affairs expanding housing assistance to help Veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Programs like these can make a life-changing difference by helping Veterans regain stability and access the support they have earned. The policy allows eligible Veterans to receive rental assistance for up to 10 months in appropriate circumstances as part of the VA's Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. As a longtime advocate for our nation's Veterans, I remain committed to ensuring they have access to the housing, health care, and support services they deserve. We can never repay the debt we owe those who have worn our nation's uniform, but we can honor their service by making sure no Veteran is left behind. https://www.military.com/new-va-policy-can-pay-up-to-10-months-of-rent-for-homeless-veterans?link_source=ta_first_comment&taid=6a6c955340e00a000110398c&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwdGRzaATZvmhjbGNrBNm-JHBkb2YFZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQMMzUwNjg1NTMxNzI4AAEeIsJOF3A0T_UXwGko45MS8b0gp5rJYlequPU1jo03aXvGCPbTW3K0QcAMAhg_aem_vkgXmwHTyG-hMptX0J49hQ

I was proud to co-sponsor the TAKE IT DOWN Act, which is now the law of the land. No one should have to endure the trauma of having an intimate image shared online without their consent. This landmark law gives victims an important new tool by requiring covered online platforms to provide a process for requesting the removal of nonconsensual intimate images. Once a valid request is submitted, platforms must remove the image and any known identical copies within 48 hours. If a platform fails to provide a takedown process or does not comply with the law, you can report it to the Federal Trade Commission at TakeItDown.ftc.gov. Every report helps hold online platforms accountable and protects others from becoming victims. Watch this short video to learn more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K53PnqfnFFY

Today, we honor the brave men and women who answered our nation's call during the Korean War. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom helped defend democracy and preserve peace during one of the most challenging chapters in our nation's history. We also remember the more than 36,000 Americans who gave their lives, the thousands who were wounded, and those who were held as prisoners of war or remain missing in action. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. To all Korean War Veterans, and to their families, thank you for your service, your resilience, and your enduring legacy. Our nation is forever grateful.
