DC Housing Finance Agency - DCHFA The HFA was established in 1979 to stimulate and expand homeownership and rental housing opportunities in Washington, D.C. residents to transform their lives.

The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency is an S&P A+ rated issuer, serving Washington, D.C.’s residents for 40 years. The Agency’s mission is to advance the District of Columbia’s housing priorities; the Agency invests in affordable housing and neighborhood development, which provides pathways for D.C. We accomplish our mission by delivering the most efficient and effective sources of capital available in the market to finance rental housing and to create homeownership opportunities.

DCHFA's Portfolio and Asset Management team conducted a progress inspection at the construction site of Harvard Court Apartments, a development in which DCHFA is an investor. Once completed, Harvard Court will be a 108-unit affordable housing development in Columbia Heights and will provide residents with amenities such as a community room, fitness center, and underground parking.
