Celebrating Community Health & Safety Award Recipients!
These communities are being recognized for innovative programs that improve health, safety, and quality of life:
• City of Bondurant, Iowa Government – Expanded access to healthcare by partnering to establish the community's first local primary and urgent care clinic, improving preventive care while supporting residents, businesses, and a rapidly growing population.
• City of Hopkinsville Local Government – Addressed Kentucky's paramedic shortage through an innovative hybrid training program that is strengthening the EMS workforce, improving emergency preparedness, and creating a model for communities nationwide.
• City of Newport News, VA - Government – Launched the A Chance to Shine (ACTS) Employment Transition Program, helping residents experiencing homelessness gain paid work experience, life skills, stable employment, and housing while strengthening city operations.
