DC Sustainable Energy Utility is our official energy partner for the new SAFE Space Crisis Shelter and the resident engineer in green appliances and equipment. We first partnered with them in 2018 on the “Power to Save Lives” fundraising campaign for energy supplies at SAFE Space. We are so grateful for their investment in the shelter project and help working on energy efficiency incentives.
Ted Trabue, Managing Director, DC Sustainable Energy Utility, shared:
“Our mission at the DC Sustainable Energy Utility is to help District residents and businesses save energy and money, with a special focus on serving our most vulnerable residents. We are so glad to be able to partner with DC SAFE to help them build a more energy-efficient new facility. A more energy-efficient building will save them money for years to come, freeing up funding that can go back to supporting the critical programs and services they provide to the community here in DC.”
