The DCSEU and District Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) are launching DC DRIVE (Diesel Reduction Incentives for Vehicle Electrification) to help fleet owners operating in the District replace eligible diesel-powered trucks, buses, transport refrigeration units, and generator sets with cleaner, zero-emission alternatives.

Through financial incentives covering up to 45% of eligible zero-emission vehicle costs, along with technical assistance, qualifying fleets can get the resources they need to transition to cleaner transportation technologies and help reduce diesel emissions across the District.

The DCSEU was excited to support the School Daze Back-to-School Giveaway and Resource Fair this past weekend! We connected with Ward 8 families and community members, sharing information about DCSEU programs, energy-saving resources, and ways residents can save energy, reduce costs, and cut emissions at home.

A big thank you to the event hosts: Sycamore & Oak, Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White, Sr., Ward 8 State Board of Education Representative Dr. Lajoy Johnson-Law, and Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health. The DCSEU was proud to donate more than 200 backpacks to students starting the new school year, and we wish everyone a safe, successful, and energizing start to the year!
