Montana ranchers are struggling due to years of drought that has thinned their herds. While I commend President Trump for working to lower the price of goods at the grocery store, importing foreign beef is only going to hurt our ranchers and increase prices over the long-term. We need to do all we can support them by letting the market recover.

Today’s decision by to rescind the roadless rule is huge news for Montana and for the west. Our state has been dealing with catastrophic wildfires for far too long & this will allow us to properly manage our forests and mitigate the spread of fires.

Our national parks are the crown jewels of our country- let’s get the America the Beautiful Act passed.

Passing the America the Beautiful Act will fix deteriorating national park facilities and prevent a $35 billion debt on taxpayers.

Chris Anderson was officially confirmed by the Senate today to serve as our next U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia! Chris has served as national security advisor in my office for the last several years, so this is especially significant for Team Daines. Chris is exceedingly well qualified, and we are all thrilled to see him step into this new role. Congratulations!
